1. Who we are
SportSpot is operated by Duarte Branco Mole, Lisboa, Portugal. Email: DJ@sportspot.live. SportSpot is an online platform that lists sports courts in Greater Lisbon, forwards rental requests to venues and, at partner venues, takes online bookings. By using the platform you accept these terms.
2. Our role
When you book or request a court, the rental contract is between you and the venue. SportSpot acts as an intermediary: we publish the availability and prices the venue gives us and, for online bookings, collect payment on the venue's behalf. The venue is responsible for the court, its condition, access and rules.
3. Free public courts
Information about free public courts is provided for convenience and may be incomplete or out of date. These courts are managed by municipalities or other owners; SportSpot does not control their condition or availability. Please report errors through the contact page.
4. Online bookings and payment
Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. Your slot is held for 30 minutes while you pay; unpaid holds are released automatically. A booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds, and you will see the confirmation on screen and in “My bookings”. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
5. Court requests
For venues that do not take online bookings you can send a request. A request is not a booking and no payment is taken: we forward it to the venue, which may accept, decline or contact you directly about price and payment.
6. Cancellations and refunds
See the Refund Policy. In short: cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund; if the venue cancels, you always get a full refund.
7. Right of withdrawal
Court bookings are leisure services for a specific date and time, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (Decree-Law 24/2014, article 17(1)(l)). Our cancellation policy applies instead.
8. Pickup games and Runs
Pickup games are organised by players, not by SportSpot. When you host or join one, your first name is shown publicly on that game. Play responsibly, follow the rules of the space and respect other users. SportSpot may remove games or content that are abusive, unsafe or misleading.
9. Accounts and conduct
Keep your sign-in details private and give accurate information. Do not misuse the platform, submit false requests or listings, or try to access data that is not yours. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
10. Liability
SportSpot is not liable for injuries, losses or damage occurring at venues or public courts, or for a venue's failure to provide a court, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
Contact us first at DJ@sportspot.live or through the contact page and we will try to resolve the issue with the venue. You can also use the electronic Complaints Book (www.livroreclamacoes.pt). In case of dispute, consumers may use an Alternative Dispute Resolution entity: CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt) or the Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa (www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt). More information on the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force on the date of your booking applies to that booking.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence. In case of discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
